**Tijuana, August 13, 2024** – Jesús Eduardo Mora Gomar, a 48-year-old DiDi driver who had been reported missing since Sunday night, was found unconscious but alive this Tuesday at the General Hospital of Tijuana, according to his family.

On Tuesday morning, friends and family of Mora Gomar, in coordination with the association “Familiares Unidos Buscando a Nuestros Desaparecidos,” launched a search brigade on Saturno Street in the Planetario neighborhood, following the last location marked by his GPS. They were in the process of posting missing person posters in the Cañón de la Pedrera area, where his blue Nissan March was found abandoned, when they received a call about his possible whereabouts at the General Hospital.

Danae Mora, the daughter of the DiDi driver, commented, “Through an image showing him unconscious on the street, we were able to confirm that he was at the General Hospital. We arrived here (at the hospital), showed the image we received, and confirmed that he was the person in question. A nurse helped me verify his identity and it was indeed him.”

Danae mentioned that her father is in a critical condition but alive, although he remains unconscious. The family is still unaware of the exact circumstances that led to his condition. “We didn’t face the 72-hour waiting period thanks to the support from the association. We filed the report at around 8 hours. Currently, we’re gathering the necessary documents for his clinical record at the General Hospital and will continue to follow up closely,” she added.

Danae also highlighted the need for improvement in transportation service platforms. When they went to the office of the service provider for assistance, the system was down.

“I feel grateful to God, to all my family who supported us immensely, to my coworkers, friends, and everyone who backed us since the news came out. This morning, we were all filled with a horrible uncertainty; it’s a feeling no one should ever go through,” shared Danae. She also noted that her father previously worked as a truck driver and had once been out of contact due to a dead phone battery, emphasizing the risks involved in such professions.
