The “Análisis de Siniestralidad Vial en México: Cartografía de Reportes de Aseguradora AXA 2015-2023” has named the Ensenada-Tijuana Scenic Highway as the second most dangerous road in Mexico, with almost 800 reported incidents. This analysis, compiled by AXA insurance, outlines the 100 most dangerous areas in Mexico based on the number of reported cases between 2015 and 2023.

The findings, part of an overall analysis conducted in conjunction with the Estrategia Misión Cero initiative, span 76 cities across 32 states. Each city’s five most dangerous road segments were identified and examined.

In Ensenada, the top five most hazardous roads include:

– Reforma and Calzada Cortez
– Reforma and Calle Once
– Reforma and Hierro
– Reforma and Delante

In Tijuana, the riskiest roads are:
– Alberto Aldrete Avenue with Miguel Negrete Avenue
– Parque Baja California Norte with Paseo del Pedregal Avenue
– Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard with Vía Rápida Oriente and Ing. Juan Ojeda Robles Avenue
– Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard with Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Boulevard
– Paseo de los Héroes Extension with Cuauhtémoc Norte Boulevard

Topping the list nationwide is the Cuacnopalan-Tehuacán highway in Puebla, with 965 reported incidents. In third place is the Santa Anna-Hermosillo highway in Hermosillo, Sonora, with 762 cases.

**More Dangerous Roadways Identified across Mexico**

A closer look at Mexico’s road safety reveals various other high-risk areas in the country. According to a related study on road incidents, the following highways have also seen significant numbers of accidents:
