**Body Found Bound in Mexicali’s Loma Linda Neighborhood**

Mexicali, February 11, 2025 – In a tragic discovery, the body of a man was found with gunshot wounds on a public street. The incident occurred at the intersection of Progreso and Puebla streets in the Loma Linda neighborhood of Mexicali. Emergency services received a call reporting an unresponsive man lying outside a residence numbered 1049.

Upon arrival, officers from the Public Security Directorate found the victim, displaying bloodstains and injuries to his head and chest consistent with gunshot wounds. The man was also bound hand and foot with brown tape. Paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross assessed the individual and pronounced him deceased at the scene. The victim was approximately 40 years old, of medium build, with light brown skin, and an estimated height of 1.65 meters. He was dressed in navy blue pants, a beige shirt, and blue socks.

During initial investigations, officers discovered three 9mm bullet casings near the scene. The area was subsequently turned over to forensic experts from the Baja California General Prosecutor’s Office, who will continue with the necessary investigations into the case.
