**Mexicali, October 1, 2024** – In the early hours of October 1, Luis Felipe Chan officially took the positions as the new Director of the Mexicali Police Department. Along with Chan, Rodrigo Llantada Ávila was appointed as the Secretary of the City Council, and Roger Sosa assumed the role of Municipal Treasurer.

The appointments are pending ratification by the Mexicali City Council, however, the overwhelming majority from the morenista party suggests the approvals are merely a formality.

– **Vicente Robles**: Appointed as the Commander of the Traffic Division, Robles has predominantly built his career in this division, except for a brief removal by former director Pedro Mendivil.
