### Armed Group Breaks Into Vehicle Depot in Mexicali, Steals Six Cars

Mexicali – An armed group stormed the GZ vehicle depot located in the La Puerta neighborhood of Mexicali, making off with six vehicles. The incident occurred just before midnight on Monday, September 23rd, at the facility situated at kilometer 20 on the Mexicali-San Felipe highway.

According to authorities, the heavily armed group entered the premises and headed to the area where the guard was stationed. The attackers beat and tied up the guard before proceeding to inspect several vehicles. They managed to steal at least six vehicles that were under police custody.

The criminals took operational vehicles that could be driven away, indicating the theft was not targeted at just specific types or models of cars. Initial reports suggest that more than six vehicles might have been stolen, and additional cars were also tampered with during the heist. Several sets of keys, .223 caliber shell casings, and other items were found at the scene.

Authorities suspect the stolen vehicles may be used in ongoing conflicts involving the Sinaloa Cartel.
