### Banner Addressed to Governor Displayed on Mexicali Pedestrian Bridge
A banner targeting Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda was placed early Saturday morning, August 17, on a pedestrian bridge located on Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard in Mexicali. The message named several agents purportedly involved in organized crime. This marks the second such message hung on pedestrian bridges in Mexicali in recent weeks, highlighting the alleged infiltration of criminal groups within the state police force.
The banner, found around 4 a.m. near the Zacatecas neighborhood, warned of a “bloodbath.” It read:
“MARINA DEL PILAR, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESS IF YOU DON’T CONTROL YOUR CORRUPT FESC AGENTS SOTO, ROMERO, LÓPEZ, RODRIGO, ORTÍZ, ROSILES, HIDALGO, ARANDA, ARREDONDO, LIMÓN, ROBLES, VICENTE, RAMIREZ, WHO SERVE THE ‘RUSOS’. GET READY FOR THE CONSEQUENCES. THE BLOODBATH WILL BEGIN.”
Authorities are currently investigating whether the message is from a criminal group or relates to an internal issue.
