### Caballero Ramírez to Leave 25% of Resources in Each Department for Year-End Bonuses

Tijuana’s mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez has confirmed she will allocate 25% of resources within each department and secretariat to ensure the timely payment of year-end bonuses. This decision aims to facilitate the smooth continuation of the administration under her successor, Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, until December.

When questioned about whether the 25% referred to the overall budget of approximately 11 billion pesos, Caballero Ramírez clarified, “It is in relation to each secretariat, not the total budget.” She emphasized, “I can’t provide an exact figure, but we will leave enough for his administration to continue without any hitches.”

As her tenure nears its end, Caballero Ramírez expressed satisfaction, citing recent accomplishments such as delivering 29 new units to the municipal police and investing 90 million pesos in police equipment. “Few administrations continue to deliver resources and works just a week before stepping down,” she noted.

The transition process is reportedly going well, with the mayor ensuring that all debts have been paid, enabling the incoming administration to start with a clean slate. She also highlighted an incident involving opposition councilors who inquired about severance packages. Caballero Ramírez remarked, “Some councilors were hoping for a severance package, but all funds were invested in the city’s wellbeing.”

In response to potential fines from the State’s Environmental Protection Agency for fireworks during the September 15 Independence Day celebrations, she maintained that noise levels complied with regulations. Caballero Ramírez is confident that there should be no penalties, but is prepared to address any if imposed.

Regarding the suspension of the Playas boardwalk rehabilitation by State Civil Protection, she reiterated that there is no conflict with Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda. The mayor emphasized that both parties are fulfilling their responsibilities for the benefit of the citizens.
