A young boy named Matias has captured the attention of social media since August 30, with friends and family appealing to the Ensenada community for help in locating him. According to data obtained from authorities, the boy is currently safe and under the care of the DIF (National System for Integral Family Development) in Ensenada.
This search was initiated after an incident on August 28, when a woman was forcibly taken from her vehicle on Magisterio Street, between Fourth and Fifth Streets in Ensenada. Law enforcement officials later found her Jeep and a discarded cell phone on Chopo Street and Avenue A, in the Granjas del Gallo neighborhood.
By August 30, the state’s anti-kidnapping unit located the woman and arrested three individuals for their involvement in the kidnapping. Matias was present at the time of the arrests, and following protocol, he was placed under the care of the state’s DIF.
