**Matias, the Child Found with Alleged Kidnappers, Now in DIF Ensenada Care**

The image of a young boy named Matias began circulating on social media on Friday, August 30, accompanied by a message from friends and family seeking community support in locating him.

As of now, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has not issued an alert for Matias, but information obtained by the agency indicates that he is safe and currently under the care of the Ensenada DIF (Desarrollo Integral de la Familia).

Matias was reported missing following an incident on Wednesday, August 28, where a woman was taken from her vehicle on Magisterio Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets in Ensenada. Authorities later located the woman’s Jeep and a cellphone on Chopo and A Streets in the Granjas del Gallo neighborhood.

By Friday, the FGE’s anti-kidnapping unit had found the woman and arrested three suspects for their alleged involvement in her abduction. Matias was present at the time of the arrests and was placed in the custody of the state DIF as per regulations.

**Mexican Authorities Crack Down on Kidnapping Rings**

In an ongoing effort to combat kidnapping in the region, Mexican authorities have intensified their operations against criminal organizations. Earlier this year, state police in Baja California conducted a series of raids resulting in the arrest of multiple suspects connected to high-profile kidnapping cases.

The most recent case involved the rescue of a woman in Ensenada and the arrest of three men alleged to be part of a kidnapping ring. Such operations have been on the rise as the State Attorney General’s Office collaborates with federal agencies to dismantle these criminal networks.

These heightened security measures aim to curb the incidence of kidnapping, which remains a significant concern in various parts of Mexico. The government has also increased resources for family support services like DIF, ensuring that vulnerable individuals, particularly children, receive appropriate care during such crises.
