### Maclovio Rojas Neighbors Announce Protest: Continued Lack of Regularization

Residents of Maclovio Rojas have announced a new protest for Monday, September 30, in response to the Federal Government’s lack of action. According to Cassandra Hernández, the community representative, the location of the demonstration has not been disclosed but is designed to have both national and international impact.

“Our aim is to create not just a national impact, but an international one as well, to demand the regularization of the Maclovio Rojas area, the issuance of land titles, and to resolve this issue once and for all,” Hernández stated.

The residents have faced delays from the Ministry of the Interior concerning the delivery of 400 property titles, despite previous protests at the Pemex Plant. Juan de Dios Escalante, who joined the conference remotely, expressed skepticism that the current federal administration will solve the problem before its term ends.

He urged those mediating the situation to fulfill their promises, citing frustration over unkept agreements. Hernández stressed that the protest is not intended to harm society but to bring certainty to the land and its holders, highlighting that residents have been living there for 36 years, which ought to grant them certain rights.

After the delivery of the initial 400 titles, the aim is to reach agreements with 852 additional landholders and achieve regularization for 197 hectares, where more than 4,000 families reside.
