### Lupita D’Alessio’s Farewell to Tijuana
Lupita D’Alessio, affectionately known as “La Leona Dormida,” is returning to Tijuana for what could be her final performance in the city. Despite announcing her farewell tour over a year and a half ago, the acclaimed Mexican singer will grace the stage one more time on Saturday, November 2, to express her gratitude to the audience that has supported her illustrious career spanning over five decades.
In a recent interview with Alan Tacher on the television program “Despierta América,” D’Alessio candidly spoke about her past struggles with substance abuse, which spanned nearly 23 years. She shared how she overcame these challenges by reaching out for help, notably to the pastor of her son, Ernesto D’Alessio. As she prepares to conclude her touring days, her setlist will feature beloved Latin American pop classics, such as “Qué ganas de no verte nunca más,” “Acaríciame,” and “Mudanzas.”
The farewell performance will take place at El Foro (formerly known as Jai Alai), with her son Ernesto joining her on stage, as he did in a 2023 concert. D’Alessio aims to end her career on a high note, stating, “I don’t want to evoke pity from the audience. People want to hear you sing well, with your voice in top form,” she expressed to Tacher a month ago.
Tickets for this special event range from 800 to 3,300 pesos, plus service charges. They are available for purchase at the venue’s box office, Hotel Lucerna, Farmacias Roma, and online at primerafila.mx.
