After an outstanding performance on September 3rd in Mexicali, Luis Miguel, affectionately known as “El Sol de México,” dazzled Tijuana with the first of his two scheduled concerts on the night of Wednesday, September 4th at the Tijuana Football Stadium.
The anticipation for the renowned singer’s concert was heightened due to delays in the rehearsal of his band, led by the Tijuana native Kiko Cibrián. As eager fans lined up at the venue’s main entrances, they faced an hour’s delay before finally being allowed in.
Crowds adorned in merchandise, sunglasses, and light outfits braved the high temperatures as they moved along the stadium perimeter, sporting accessories linked to Luis Miguel’s current tour across Mexico.
The gates opened around 7:00 PM, and excited fans entered their designated sections, rapidly filling the stadium, which was set to accommodate over 22,000 people. Smiling throughout and showcasing his signature dance moves with his band, Luis Miguel hit a high note with “La Incondicional,” followed by crowd-pleasers “La Chica del Bikini Azul,” “Ahora Te Puedes Marchar,” and “Cuando Calienta El Sol,” bringing his first Tijuana concert to a triumphant close.
Luis Miguel will perform again in Tijuana tonight, September 5th, before his next show at the Arena Valle de Guadalupe on September 7th, concluding his tour through Baja California.
