### “Lucha Run” Charity Event Set to Kick Off in Tijuana
Everything is ready for the “Lucha Run” athletic event, which is a 5-kilometer run scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 8, starting at 7:30 AM in front of the Cerro Colorado Delegation offices.
Federico Camacho, who leads the organizing committee, mentioned that this is the second edition of the event, held to commemorate Mexico’s National Day of Lucha Libre on September 21. The goal is to promote Lucha Libre and athleticism through a unique event where participants can enjoy physical activity and free Lucha Libre exhibitions, culminating in the crowning of the “Lucharun” champion.
The race also serves a good cause, as part of the proceeds will be donated to the Lady Lee Lucha Libre School. An expected turnout of 900 runners is anticipated, with registrations having been open for several weeks across various points at a cost of 250 pesos. The first 500 to register receive a choice of T-shirts or socks in their kit. Medals will be awarded to all who complete the route correctly, and the top five male and female finishers will receive cash prizes, with championship belts given to the overall winners in both categories.
Special races for children aged 3 to 12 years will also be held with distances ranging from 30 meters to 100 meters, with medals awarded to all participants.
The event will also feature a contest for the best wrestler costume, with special prizes including a champion belt for the best-dressed participant.
