### Los Choclok Set to Energize Baja California

The renowned band from Cosoleacaque, Veracruz, known as Los Choclok, is all set to make waves in Baja California during the second weekend of November. They will be performing in Tijuana at the Black Box and in Ensenada at Abel’s Bar. These performances mark the celebration of their latest music project, an EP titled “Quince,” which commemorates their fifteenth anniversary in the music industry.

“We’re coming to Baja California with a complete, emotional, and high-energy show to celebrate our fifteen-year journey with our fans. Our newly released EP, ‘Quince,’ showcases a more commercial and digestible sound while maintaining our band’s signature style. It includes contributions from all band members in both music and lyrics,” said Martín Alejandro Arias Viche, the band’s jarana player and vocalist.

Traditionally, their music has leaned towards Latin jazz, son jarocho, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. However, with “Quince,” Los Choclok experimented with pop, funk, and hip hop influences, creating catchy tunes with engaging lyrics. “The goal was to craft songs that hook listeners within the first 30 seconds, ensuring they have longevity despite the fast-paced nature of today’s music scene,” Arias Viche added.

Although “Quince” will officially release at the end of November, Andrea Viche mentioned that during their upcoming performances on November 9 and 10 in Tijuana and Ensenada, they will debut the five new tracks. Additionally, the band members expressed their desire to foster personal growth and inspire those around them to be better human beings and contribute positively to society.
