As I was praying the rosary, memories started to flood back, compelling me to pen down my admiration for the great poet. However, the words seem to escape me, leaving me in a state of contemplation about why such a distinguished poet remains so elusive in the public eye.
If given the chance, I’d love to visit Lorca, to converse and shake his hand. I long to seek advice from the learned poet on how to craft a romance filled with musical cadence and sacred tones. What inspired him in those days when he wrote his iconic poems and dramatic works?
Hailing from Granada, Lorca became an international sensation, admired for his extraordinary talent. He was a close friend of painters, poets, and pianists, always cherishing the beauty of Granada’s lush fields. Though he longed to travel the world with his books, he always returned to his beloved city. Even when he sought refuge at a friend’s house, fate caught up with him, and his life was tragically cut short.
