Leonel Garcia Heartbreak Tour

Leonel García’s emotional journey through heartbreak and growth captivates audiences in his latest album “Pausa,” presented in Tijuana to kick off a touching musical tour.

### Leonel García’s Musical Tribute to Heartbreak

Experimenting with his music and introspecting as an artist, Mexican musician and singer Leonel García delves into nostalgia, heartbreak, love, attachment, and growth in his latest album “Pausa,” which he presented for the first time in Tijuana to kick off his tour across the Republic.

With over a quarter-century of delivering heartfelt poetry in song, Garcia, one half of the renowned duo Sin Bandera, chose the border city to begin his musical journey. The inaugural performance took place on the evening of Saturday, August 3, at the El Foro Antiguo Palacio Jai Alai.

Before meeting his audience, regional talent served as the opener for the “Mientes tan bien” singer as the venue slowly filled up. An hour later, a brief intro about García and an introduction to his new musical team was projected on a giant screen behind the stage. Accompanied by four musicians and two backup singers, the lights centered on García.

Opening with memories and love, the singer began with “Bailar,” followed by “Hasta la raíz,” a cover requested by Natalia Lafourcade. The songs “Miento,” “Me encuentra,” and “Suficiente” concluded the first chapter of García’s emotionally charged setlist.

In a more intimate setup featuring a quartet with a double bass, “Roto” and “Tal vez” highlighted Natalia’s vocals, adding to the anguished romanticism. Meanwhile, second vocalist Noam led the audience to a state of melancholic ecstasy with “Todas juntas” and “Recuerdas.” Solo performances by Garcia included hits like “Te vi venir,” “Tu mejor amigo,” “TBC,” and “Me dediqué a perderte.”

With a full band and an emotionally charged audience, García paused to perform “Te doy la vida” and fan favorites like “Que lloro,” “Buenos tiempos,” and “Pero no así.” The climax of the presentation wrapped up with “Para empezar” and “Ella es,” marking the first of over ten scheduled tour dates.
