**Seven Generations and Counting: The Legacy of L.A. Cetto in Baja California**

For nearly a century, the Cetto family has carried forward a legacy initiated by Francesco Antonio Cetto in Selva di Lévico, Italy. The viticulture tradition has been upheld through generations, from Francesco Alloisio Cetto to his grandson Luigi Cetto, who saw great potential in Baja California. The family enterprise, L.A. Cetto, has continued to evolve under the stewardship of Angelo, Luis Agustín, and now Luis Alberto Cetto, marking 96 years of dedication to winemaking.

“The winery is characterized as a completely family-run business that has meticulously passed down its tradition through generations, now nearing its 100-year anniversary,” noted Luis Alberto Cetto, General Director of Grupo Cetto, during the Fiesta de Colores celebration in the scenic fields of Valle de Guadalupe.

### Fiesta de Colores: A Celebration of Tradition and Innovation

As pioneers in the Mexican wine industry, the Ensenada-based winery predicts a prolific year, with an estimated 15,000 to 16,000 tons of grape production, translating to about 1.3 million boxes. “This summer has been quite favorable, with no extreme heatwaves, which is crucial for a good harvest. We anticipate a slightly larger and longer harvest than last year,” shared Luis Alberto, who also showcased 59 new wine medals to 900 attendees.

The annual Fiesta de Colores, first celebrated in 1971, aims to share the year’s hard work, embodied in each grape and bottle of wine, with the community. “Our goal is to connect with people and celebrate the fruits of our labor,” added Luis Alberto.

Luis Angelo Cetto, representing the seventh generation, acknowledges the significant responsibility of maintaining this exceptional legacy. Exporting to countries like Italy, Spain, France, the UK, and many more, Louis Angelo aspires to keep L.A. Cetto’s wines at the heart of families’ dining tables across Mexico and beyond. “We feel a mix of nerves and excitement, akin to preparing for a big game where we want to leave our mark. There’s still much to learn and achieve,” he emphasized.

The event also featured a live performance by the band Sentidos Opuestos, adding a festive atmosphere with hits like “Amor de papel” and “Dónde están”.

Reflecting on continuous growth, Luis Alberto Cetto remarked, “Hard work always pays off. The strength of our business lies in its people. Despite conquering various market niches, there are still goals to achieve and countries to reach.”
