**Partial Closure Announced for “La Benton” Due to CESPT Works**

From August 19 to 22, a partial closure will impact traffic on Bernardo O’Higgins Avenue (Benton) as the CESPT connects the Rosario Salado sub-collector. This work will occur nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM to mitigate traffic disruptions.

According to an official statement, CESPT General Director Jesús García Castro emphasized that the avenue will not be fully closed; instead, one lane in each direction will remain open. Alternative routes include San Antonio and Santa Elena streets for those traveling from Bernardo O’Higgins Avenue to Federico Benítez Boulevard, and Duraznos Street for those heading from Díaz Ordaz Boulevard to Federico Benítez Boulevard.

To minimize the impact on traffic during the connection work, directional drilling techniques will be employed. The project, which began in February 2024, also includes the replacement of 330 meters of sanitary PVC piping, 200 meters of a parallel 15-inch pipeline, and the construction of four access wells, along with necessary asphalt work.
