High temperatures did not deter more than 4,000 fans from gathering at the Palenque de la Feria Tijuana on the nights of September 7th and 8th. Julión Álvarez, accompanied by his Norteño Banda, showcased that he remains one of the most popular Mexican artists in the regional Mexican genre.

With every seat sold out, the singer of “Casi Completa” shared that returning to the recording studio to release new music, such as his latest EP “Atento Aviso … Rey Sin Reyna,” has been a challenging endeavor.

“I describe this project as the best selection I have made because of current platform trends, lyrics, and rhythms. Still, it was difficult for me to decide which rhythms to record,” commented Julión, who hinted that he might return to Tijuana with the “Prófugos del Anexo” tour alongside Alfredo Olivas.

Finally, to a packed house, El Rey de la Taquilla had the audience on their feet at 12:20 A.M. with the lively tune “El Ausente.” The Chiapas native’s two performances were filled with hits such as “Lo tienes todo,” “Te hubieras ido antes,” “Regalo de Dios,” “Que te vaya bien,” “Fuentes de Ortiz,” “Casi completa,” “Terrenal,” “La Sonrisa obligatoria,” “Afuera está lloviendo,” “El amor de su vida,” “Cuando te amé,” “Corazón Mágico,” among others.

The venue witnessed the sheer drawing power of the singer, marking a year since his last performance in the region. Concert-goers took advantage of the two shows organized by RAS Entertainment. After more than two hours of performance, Julión concluded the night with hits from Alfredo Olivas and Banda del Recodo.
