### **Infonavit Opens New Offices in Tijuana**

With an investment of 14 million pesos, new Infonavit offices have been inaugurated in Tijuana. Located at Plaza Monarca in the Cerro Colorado area, these offices will serve the municipalities of Tijuana, Tecate, and Rosarito. The new facilities are spacious and fully equipped, providing users with a more convenient way to complete various procedures, reducing travel time.

During the opening ceremony, the state governor, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, highlighted the challenge of affordable housing in the state. She emphasized that many large construction companies had neglected to provide housing for workers, prompting the creation of the State Housing Plan. Ávila Olmeda also acknowledged the federal government’s support, which enabled Infonavit to extend its services to San Quintín, benefiting numerous agricultural workers.

Carlos Martínez Velázquez, the General Director of Infonavit, reiterated the institute’s commitment to bringing its services closer to Baja California residents with this 14 million pesos investment. He noted that Baja California has the only State Housing Program with clearly defined goals and unparalleled investment, further revealing that 53 million pesos have been invested in various loans during the current administration.

The new CESI Tijuana officially opened with the free distribution of 40 mortgage cancellations, 30 Mejoravit credit cards aimed at home improvement, 20 mortgage loans, and 10 delayed deed registrations. The facility will now serve over 600,000 workers who contribute to the institute in the region.
