**IMDECUF Supports CECYTE BC Students with Sports Equipment Donations**
The Municipal Sports and Physical Culture Institute of Mexicali (IMDECUF) has generously provided sports equipment to the students of the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos de Baja California (CECYTE BC) located in the valley zone. This significant contribution aims to enhance the sporting activities across 10 different campuses.
The donation event was led by Mexicali’s Mayor, Norma Alicia Bustamante Martínez, alongside Valerio III Camargo García, the Director of IMDECUF, and Christian Hiram Dunn Fitch, the General Director of CECYTE BC. The ceremony also saw the presence of students Jessica Vanessa Martínez Arballo and Gerardo Pradis Carrillo, as well as directors from each benefiting campus and various council members.
Addressing the attendees, Mayor Bustamante encouraged the students to make the most of the newly acquired equipment, acknowledging their evident enthusiasm and promising potential. After the formalities, students received the packages firsthand, marking an important step towards improved physical education resources.
Each campus received a package containing 2 basketballs, 2 soccer balls, 2 volleyballs, a volleyball net, 2 basketball hoop nets, and a sports ball bag. In total, 67 sports packages were distributed, benefiting more than 9,000 students.
The campuses benefiting from this initiative include Plantel Xochimilco, Plantel Compuertas, Plantel Misiones, Plantel Los Pinos, Plantel Centenario, Plantel Ejido Puebla, Plantel Los Portales, Plantel Bella Vista, Plantel Vicente Guerrero, and Plantel Guadalupe Victoria.
