### Bodies Found on Highway to San Felipe

In a shocking discovery, the bodies of two individuals were found abandoned near a remote section of the highway linking Mexicali and San Felipe. The incident came to light just before noon after an emergency call alerted authorities about the grim findings at kilometer 75. Local and federal police arrived at the scene and found the bodies on the roadside, surrounded by a significant amount of blood. One of the victims was wearing jeans and a gray hoodie, while the other was dressed in dark clothing.

Police reports mentioned that the victims’ hands were tied behind their backs, indicating a likely abduction followed by murder. Investigative teams have begun gathering evidence in the area close to Campo Mosqueda. Currently, the victims’ identities remain unknown as they were not carrying identification or documents to help in identifying them.

### Additional Body Discovered in Mexicali

In a separate incident, another body was found early on January 16th, in the ejido Gertrudis Sánchez located in the Valle de Mexicali. The victim was identified as Juan Antonio Domínguez Escalante, 36, described as slender, wearing a blue sweatshirt, gray pants, and black sneakers. The general prosecution office of Baja California cordoned off the area to commence with the necessary investigations.
