The Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC) will pay tribute to the artistic legacy of playwright, director, actor, and teacher Hebert Axel González Sánchez in their “Cultural Anecdotes” series.
IMAC Director Jesús Emmanuel Villalba León announced that the tribute will discuss Hebert Axel’s professional journey, highlighting his efforts to take theatrical productions out of traditional spaces and into more unconventional venues. This tribute will also include insights from teacher Carlos Corro.
Moreover, the event will showcase Hebert Axel’s 35-year tenure as a teacher at the Casa de Cultura in the Altamira neighborhood, where he inspired and fostered a love for the performing arts among his students.
The free event, titled “Joy of Living,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, at 4:00 pm at the Casa de Cultura theater in Tijuana.
