## Health Fair to Benefit Animal Shelters

In support of five independent shelters caring for stray dogs and cats, a comprehensive animal health and wellness fair will be held on Saturday, August 31. Organized by the Ricardo Flores Magón Committee, the event will take place at the 18 de Marzo Park in the José María Morelos neighborhood. It is set to begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM.

The fair, coordinated by César Crosswait, will offer various health services, including vitamin injections, vital signs monitoring, height, weight, and glucose level measurements, all facilitated by the Instituto Pablo de Victoria Nursing School Association. Additionally, the Centro Universitario de Baja California will provide vaccinations for dogs and cats.

The event will also feature dental check-ups offered by the Universidad Autónoma de Durango and auditory and vision tests conducted by the Tijuana Río Lions Club. A unique opportunity will be available for 100 individuals to register for free sterilization of their pets on September 21, as highlighted by César Crosswait.

To participate in Saturday’s fair, attendees are asked to donate one kilogram of dog or cat food, which will be distributed to five independent shelters caring for stray animals. The event will also host information booths from several local and state organizations, including the Tijuana State Public Utilities Commission (CESPT), the Federal Welfare Secretariat, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), and the Citizen Security Secretariat.
