**Massacre in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato: 9 Killed Including Two Firefighters and a Paramedic**
On November 30, 2024, a horrific event unfolded in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato, where nine individuals, including two municipal firefighters and a state paramedic, were murdered by a group of armed men. The attack took place around 10:00 AM at the cajeta stalls located at El TrĂ©bol, near the town’s entrance.
According to local sources, at least four more people sustained severe injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. The assailants, armed with long guns, opened fire from the highway, targeting both customers and vendors at the area known for its sweets and food businesses.

Among the victims were firefighters Alejandro Ortega and Ulises RamĂrez, enjoying their day off when they were caught in the crossfire, as well as Ricardo Eduardo LĂ³pez Ortega, a paramedic from the State Emergency System of Guanajuato (SUEG), originally from Juventino Rosas and assigned to the Cortazar module for patient transport.
