### Governor and Newly Elected Female Mayors Attend Ayala’s Final Report
On August 9, 2024, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda and several newly elected mayors were in attendance for the final report presented by the outgoing Municipal President of Ensenada, Armando Ayala Robles. Despite her previous statements that she would not attend such events, Ávila Olmeda was seated prominently at the event held in the municipal house lobby.
Ayala Robles reflected on his five-year term, highlighting the challenges faced, including a financial crisis, deficient services, public space decay, forest fires, the COVID-19 pandemic, and severe rainfall. He emphasized the administration’s determination to fulfill its commitments despite these obstacles.
“Five years may seem brief, but they encompass 1,683 days of relentless work. They have been filled with challenges and commitments, constant management efforts, and collective endeavors to drive transformation,” stated Ayala Robles.
The event was attended by a diverse group of business leaders, public officials, government servants, and citizens from various Ensenada communities. The audience also included mayors Norma Bustamante, Araceli Brown, Rocío Adame from Playas de Rosarito, Miriam Cano from San Quintín, and Román Cota from Tecate, alongside Senator-elect Julieta Ramirez.
Despite earlier comments suggesting she would not attend, Ávila Olmeda praised Ayala Robles for his noteworthy contributions.
“Your presence honors and elevates this event because it upholds unity,” Ayala Robles remarked to the Governor. He also expressed confidence in the incoming leaders, including the next President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, and Ensenada’s mayor-elect, Claudia Agatón Muñiz.
