### Family Finds Deceased InDrive Driver Germán Santoyo Themselves

**”We found him ourselves,” says distraught mother of Germán Santoyo.**

Irma Yolanda Toscano León, the mother of Germán Santoyo, an InDrive driver who disappeared on August 21 and was found dead in Las Cruces, Tijuana on September 7, 2024, demands justice for her son.

**”I will not rest until I get answers,”** Toscano León declared during the emotional funeral on September 25. Santoyo’s disappearance sparked significant concern among his family, who grew increasingly frustrated with the limited communication from authorities. Determined to find their loved one, they joined a local search group, “Todos Somos Erick Carrillo.”

The search led them to a decomposing body on September 7 in Las Cruces, which they suspected could be Germán due to matching features and a tattoo of Saint Michael the Archangel on the left arm. Despite this, they decided to wait for the DNA test results for confirmation. On September 23, Toscano León received the heartbreaking news that the body was indeed her son’s.

**”We found him with the help of the collective; it’s not the way I wanted to find him,”** Toscano León shared. **”I refuse to let this case fade away without justice. I need answers about who did this to my son.”**

Santoyo was last seen leaving his grandmother’s house in Lomas del Jibarito, driving his gray 2017 Volkswagen Passat. His last known communication was a WhatsApp message at 10:00 PM on the day of his disappearance, stating he had a ride from Cañón Las Palmeras to Fraccionamiento Los Altos. His car was later found abandoned near Motel Valle Sur with items inside that did not belong to him.

The State General Prosecutor’s Office (FGE), represented by Alejandro López, ruled out a connection between Santoyo’s disappearance and his job. Security camera footage showed two unidentified individuals near the scene, but their identities remain unknown due to the low video resolution.
