## Robot Medicine Dispenser Arrives in Ensenada
An innovative robotic medication dispensing system known as BD Rowa has commenced operations at Farmacia Suprema in Ensenada, marking a significant technological advancement in the region. This is the first such unit in the city and the seventh in Mexico, with another located in Tijuana. Globally, there are already over 15,000 robots in operation.
The official inauguration took place on Thursday, September 5, at the pharmacy on Boulevard Ramírez Méndez. The ceremony was led by Juan Rivera, General Director of Farmacia Suprema, along with Carlos Brito, Business Manager and Medication Dispensing Supervisor, and Adriana Miramontes, Logistics and Inventory Manager.
The BD Rowa system is poised to revolutionize pharmaceutical technology. Pharmacy staff input prescription details into software, which then instructs the robot to locate, retrieve, and deliver the medication through a dispensing door. The pharmacies adopting this system can cater to the specific needs of each client. In Ensenada, the robot stands over two meters high and seven meters long, capable of storing up to 10,000 medications. The average delivery time is just 10 seconds.
