All vehicles, containers, and gasoline have been placed under federal custody as investigations continue to unravel the origin of the fuel and identify those involved in the theft.
Although local reports have suggested a connection to a former senator, Gerardo Novelo Osuna, authorities have not yet confirmed any direct involvement.
