The Mexican Army is maintaining security over a clandestine lab discovered on November 4th in Ensenada, located near the border of Valle de Guadalupe and Tecate, within the Ejido Ignacio Zaragoza. This lab, according to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, was utilized for producing synthetic drugs and is linked to the criminal organization known as “Los Lara,” which collaborates with a cell of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel for drug trafficking activities.

The discovery was made following an operation by the Mexican Army which involved ground reconnaissance and aerial surveillance. The raid resulted in the confiscation of approximately 7,320 liters and 2,400 kilograms of unidentified chemicals, along with various equipment including seven reactors, seven condensers, two centrifuges, and 15 gas L.P. tanks, all intended for drug production.
