**Registration for Elderly Support Programs Ends November 30**
The Federal Welfare Department has reminded residents that the registration period for pension programs aimed at senior citizens aged 65 and above, as well as women aged 63 and 64, will close on November 30. These support programs commenced registrations on November 19, offering assistance from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at various designated points including the Federal Welfare Delegation, Plaza RÃo’s parking lot, and the Sustainable Mobility Institute (IMOS).
Registrations are organized alphabetically:
– Monday: A to C
– Tuesday: D to H
– Wednesday: I to M
– Thursday: N to R
– Friday: S to Z
– Saturday: All letters
**Program Coverage:**
The program currently benefits numerous citizens across different regions:
– Ensenada: 55,397
– Mexicali: 95,727
– Tecate: 5,942
– Tijuana: 135,656
– Playas de Rosarito: 7,721
– San QuintÃn: 5,463
Eligible seniors receive a monthly economic support of 6,000 pesos, with a total bimonthly investment of 1,835 million 435 thousand pesos.
**Registration Requirements:**
Individuals aged 64 who turn 65 before December 31 can also register, with program initiation set for 2025. Applicants need to bring the following:
– Birth certificate
– CURP
– Official ID
– Proof of address less than three months old
– Two contact phone numbers
**Support for Women Aged 63 and 64:**
Since October 7, the economic support program for women aged 63 and 64 has been in action, offering 3,000 pesos bimonthly, to be deposited starting 2025. This registration follows the same procedure and requirements as the seniors’ pension program. As of November 18, approximately 14,564 women have enrolled, which is about 40% of the goal to reach 35,325 beneficiaries. The program will expand to include women from 60 years old starting 2025, aligning with practices in different regions.
**Health and Medical Coverage:**
Besides financial aid, the Wellbeing Health Census invites seniors and individuals with disabilities to register for medical attention during their registration visit. Visitors have been identifying those needing medical care since October.
Registered beneficiaries are given a QR code to access their medical records, and a visiting doctor will provide free medical attention. So far, 49,370 individuals in Baja California have registered, making up 12% of the state’s goal of 405,107 people.
To ensure medical coverage in Baja California’s 589 zones, one doctor will be hired per zone, guaranteeing full coverage with travel allowances for those in remote areas. The application process saw 819 applicants, surpassing required numbers, and 357 zones are currently covered, demonstrating a 61% completion rate.
