**Get Ready for the Exciting “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito This March 30th**
Rosarito’s beautiful “Playa El Bebé” is gearing up to host the inaugural round of Baja California’s state fishing competition this Sunday, March 30th, and there is excitement in the air as a large turnout is expected. Last year, this popular event attracted nearly 150 fishing enthusiasts from across the region, including Southern California.
The competition is incorporated into the official calendar of SEPESCA BC, with the support of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration. The event is organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association and hosted by the TJ Fishing Club, led by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno.
This tournament is the first of three qualifying beach fishing events for the State Championship. Participants can begin registering as early as 5:00 AM, with the official fishing start at 7:00 AM. Weigh-ins will close at 1:00 PM, with those in line by the deadline still eligible to compete.
At the end of the event, awards will be distributed in various categories, including children’s, women’s, and specific fish species like mojarra. Additionally, attendees can look forward to exciting raffles and enjoy delicious local fish dishes.

The top anglers from these tournaments will get the opportunity to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship, taking place September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
