### Exciting “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament Arrives in Rosarito This March
Fishing enthusiasts, get ready to cast your lines at the much-anticipated “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito, taking place on Sunday, March 30th. This event marks the beginning of Baja California’s state fishing competition, promising an impressive turnout from anglers across the region and Southern California.
The tournament, which is officially part of SEPESCA BC’s calendar, is backed by the administration of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda and organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. The local TJ Fishing Club, spearheaded by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, is hosting this year’s tournament.
Participants will have the opportunity to qualify for the State Championship through this and two other upcoming selective beach fishing tournaments. The event kicks off at Playa El Bebé with registration at 5:00 AM, followed by the start of fishing at 7:00 AM. Weigh-ins close at 1:00 PM, but everyone in line by then can still compete.
Prizes will be awarded in categories designed for children, women, mojarra, and other species, alongside raffles and local fish delicacies.
