**El Bebé Fishing Tournament Returns to Rosarito on March 30th**

Prepare your rods and reels because Rosarito is set to host the “El Bebé” fishing tournament this Sunday, March 30th. A key event in the Baja California state fishing competition, it promises to lure in anglers from across the region and Southern California with an exciting day at Playa El Bebé. Last year, the tournament attracted nearly 150 participants, and organizers anticipate another strong turnout this year.

Sponsored by the state’s official fishing body, SEPESCA BC, alongside support from Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the competition is organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. This year, the prestigious event is being managed by the TJ Fishing Club under the leadership of Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno.

Marking the first of three selective tournaments that feed into the State Championship, the event kicks off bright and early. Anglers can register at 5:00 AM, with the official fishing start at 7:00 AM. The competition wraps up for weigh-ins at 1:00 PM, ensuring those in line by that time can still compete for prizes.

Participants stand a chance to win in various categories, including awards for children, women, mojarra, and other species. Exciting raffles and local fish cuisine add to the day’s allure. More details can also be found on the TJ Fishing Club’s website.

Victor Hugo Méndez, head of Sport Fishing at SEPESCA BC, has presented financial backing to support this eagerly awaited event.

Those eager to join the competition can either register on the day or pre-register at outlets such as Pesca del Mar Outdoors in Ensenada or Fishing Crew Store in La Gloria.

Looking forward, the competition continues on April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, hosted by Club Pura Vida, and on July 20th in San Quintín, managed by Pioleros del Valle de San Quintín. Winners from these events will qualify for the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship in Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco, on September 19-20.
