**Gear Up for the “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito on March 30th**
Rosarito is all set to host the eagerly anticipated “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament on Sunday, March 30th, at Playa El Bebé. This event marks the first round of Baja California’s state fishing competition and promises to attract a strong crowd, following last year’s impressive turnout of nearly 150 anglers from the region and Southern California.
Officially part of SEPESCA BC’s calendar, the competition is supported by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda and organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. This year, the TJ Fishing Club, led by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, is steering the event.
Participants will vie for selection in the State Championship across three beach fishing tournaments. The day begins with registration at 5:00 AM, fishing starts at 7:00 AM, and weigh-ins close at 1:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded across various categories, including children’s, women’s, and specific species like mojarra. There will also be raffles and local fish-based delicacies on offer.

The top performers in these events will earn the opportunity to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
