Hosted by the TJ Fishing Club, this tournament is part of the official calendar of SEPESCA BC, with backing from Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration and the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. The organizers, Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, are thrilled to welcome participants to Playa El Bebé.
As the first of three selective beach fishing tournaments, this event will help anglers qualify for the State Championship. Activities kick off as early as 5:00 AM with registration, and the fishing officially begins at 7:00 AM. Participants should make sure to be in line for weigh-in by 1:00 PM to have their catch count.
The end of the day brings exciting prizes across various categories, including children’s and women’s divisions, as well as for specific species like mojarra. Attendees can also look forward to raffles and enjoying local fish dishes.
