This year, the TJ Fishing Club, led by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, is hosting the tournament.

This tournament is the first of three selective competitions, determining qualification for the State Championship. Registration begins at 5:00 AM, with the official fishing start at 7:00 AM. Participants must have their catches weighed by 1:00 PM to be considered. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including children’s, women’s, mojarra, and more. Plus, attendees can enjoy raffles and local fish delicacies.

Future rounds of the state competition will occur on April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada and July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín. Successful participants will have a chance to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 in Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
