**Get Ready for the “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito This March 30th**
Rosarito’s “Playa El Bebé” is all set to host the first round of Baja California’s state fishing competition on Sunday, March 30th. This eagerly anticipated event is expected to draw fishing enthusiasts from all corners of the state and Southern California. Last year’s tournament saw nearly 150 anglers participating, and this year’s turnout is expected to be equally impressive.
Organized by the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association and supported by SEPESCA BC, the event is part of the official state fishing calendar. The TJ Fishing Club, represented by Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno, will be the hosts for this exciting competition. The tournament serves as the initial round of three selective beach fishing events that will determine who qualifies for the State Championship.
The schedule kicks off at 5:00 AM with registration for participants, followed by the official start of fishing at 7:00 AM. The weigh-in is set to close at 1:00 PM; however, any participant in line by that time is still eligible. Looking ahead, the subsequent rounds of the state competition are scheduled for April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, hosted by Club Pura Vida, and July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín, organized by Pioleros del Valle de San Quintín. Successful anglers from these events will earn a chance to represent Baja California at the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
