**Prepare for the Exciting “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament in Rosarito on March 30th**

Rosarito is set to host the much-anticipated “El Bebé” Fishing Tournament at Playa El Bebé on Sunday, March 30th. This marks the first event in the Baja California state fishing series, promising an exciting day for fishing enthusiasts. Last year, around 150 anglers from across the state and Southern California participated, and this year the turnout is expected to be even greater.

The competition is part of the official schedule of SEPESCA BC, organized with the support of Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration and the Baja California Fishing Clubs Association. This year’s event is hosted by the TJ Fishing Club, with key figures like Nemesio Salazar Vázquez and Omar Reyes Moreno leading the way.

Anglers will gather early, as registration begins at 5:00 AM. The official competition starts at 7:00 AM, concluding with a weigh-in at 1:00 PM. Participants standing in line by this time will still have their fish considered.

The end of the day will see prizes awarded in various categories, including children’s, women’s, mojarra, and other species. Attendees can also enjoy raffles and food featuring local fish. Those interested can get more information about registration, costs, rules, and prizes by reaching out via phone at 664 493 6014 or 664 339 9173, or by emailing tjfishingclub@gmail.com. More details are available online.

To support this community event, SEPESCA BC’s Sport Fishing Director, Victor Hugo Méndez, has provided financial assistance to cover some of the costs. Participants can choose to register on the day or pre-register at Pesca del Mar Outdoors in Ensenada or the Fishing Crew Store in La Gloria.

The state competition will continue with two more rounds: April 27th at Sunset Beach in Ensenada, hosted by Club Pura Vida, and July 20th at Playa El Pabellón in San Quintín, organized by Pioleros del Valle de San Quintín. Top-performers in these tournaments will earn a chance to represent Baja California in the VI National Beach Sport Fishing Championship happening on September 19-20 at Playa Manzanilla, Jalisco.
