## FGE Rescues 11 Dogs from a Residence in El Pípila Neighborhood
In an effort to combat animal cruelty, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Tijuana executed a search warrant at a home in the El Pípila neighborhood, rescuing eleven dogs found in deplorable and unsanitary conditions.
The operation was prompted by a report highlighting the poor state of the animals. Following the verification of this report, a public prosecutor sought and obtained a search warrant from a Control Judge.
On August 21, the prosecutor’s office personnel conducted the raid at a residence located at the corner of 16 de Agosto and Tecate streets in the El Pípila neighborhood. At the scene, they discovered eleven dogs suffering from severe neglect and vulnerability.
Among the rescued animals were six two-month-old mixed breed puppies, with the rest being between two and four years old. Many of these dogs showed significant signs of malnutrition. The dogs have since been placed under the care of the Municipal Animal Control Department and are now under the jurisdiction of the State General Prosecutor.
The FGE urges citizens to report any cases of animal cruelty via the emergency number 9-1-1, anonymously at 089, or through the State General Prosecutor’s direct line at 800-34322-20.
