TJGringo.com — Jesús Mora, a DiDi driver, tragically passed away after being found unconscious with a severe head injury. His family had reported him missing on Tuesday, August 13th, following his disappearance on Sunday, August 11th.

“With profound sorrow, I share that my beloved brother Jesús Mora has returned to the house of God. Thank you to everyone who accompanied us in prayer,” wrote Perla Mora, Jesús’s sister, on Facebook.

Jesús, 48, left for work on the afternoon of August 11th but did not return home. His family last contacted him around 11:00 p.m. on the same day. The GPS on his phone indicated he was in Calle Saturno in the Planetario neighborhood at 3:00 a.m. on August 12th, after which the phone was turned off despite having an 85% battery.

The family’s search efforts, supported by the collective group United Families Searching for Our Missing (FUBAND), led to the discovery of Jesús’s blue Nissan March in the Cañón de la Pedrera area on August 12th. They were able to locate him alive at the General Hospital of Tijuana on August 13th through a photo of him in an unconscious state.

Danae Mora, Jesús’s daughter, recounted that they confirmed his identity at the hospital. Though found alive, Jesús remained in a grave condition and unconscious. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries five days later. The cause of his injuries remains unknown.

“Our city has become increasingly dangerous with high rates of disappearances and murders,” stated FUBAND.
