The Club Campestre in Tijuana has officially announced its Annual Tennis Tournament, coinciding with the celebration of its 76th anniversary. The event invites players of all ages and skill levels to participate.
This tournament is renowned as one of the best in Baja California, attracting participants from Ensenada, Mexicali, Playas de Rosarito, Tecate, and Southern California. Clara Huerta Cota, president of the Club Campestre Tennis Committee, shared that this year, there will be no inaugural ceremony. However, the event will feature a grand closing ceremony that includes luxury awards, a traditional raffle with over 150 prizes, and a performance by the music group Takon Machin.
The event will span two weekends. The first, from August 30th to September 1st, is dedicated to the children and youth categories and expects up to 120 participants over the age of eight. The second weekend, from September 5th to 8th, will host the Adult Tournament, featuring players of high caliber in the Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Category A divisions, with a prize pool of $6,000 USD.
Enrique Luna Alvarado, a counselor at Club Campestre, expects it to be a fantastic competition with two weekends of festivities and a family-friendly atmosphere, emphasizing that the space will be open for everyone to enjoy the matches.
