In a historic moment for the municipality, Claudia Agatón Muñiz was sworn in as the first female mayor of Ensenada during a solemn session on Monday, September 30, 2024. The Solemn Proclamation for the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2027, was delivered to Agatón Muñiz by legislator Dunnia Montserrat Murillo López, president of the XXV Legislature of the Baja California Congress.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda attended the ceremony, held in the lobby of the Municipal House, where the syndicate procurator and councilors who will make up the XXV City Council of Ensenada also took their oaths.
