Brazil Street Rehab Plans Set

**Upcoming Administration to Revitalize Brazil Street** Montserrat Caballero Ramírez’s administration plans to redevelop Brazil Street, prioritizing pedestrian-friendliness by expanding sidewalks and enhancing signage in the Madero neighborhood.

### Rehabilitation of Brazil Street Planned for Next Administration

The current administration led by Montserrat Caballero Ramírez will leave 133 feasible projects for the upcoming government, including the rehabilitation of Brazil Street in the Madero neighborhood. This was announced by Juan Enrique Bautista Corona, head of SDTUA. The project plans to reduce traffic lanes and widen the sidewalks to make the area more pedestrian-friendly, as well as adding new signage.

During a report to council members, Bautista Corona mentioned upcoming tours with the team of Burgueño Ruiz to review 11 incomplete projects. Notably, the construction of a sports field in Cerro de Las Abejas Park will remain unfinished. Once completed, this park will be managed by IMDET.

The park project’s funding saw 21 million pesos, out of a total cost of 220 million pesos, contributed by the private sector. Although further private sector involvement was anticipated, it did not materialize fully.

Additionally, the Macroplaza bridge will reach a 30% completion rate by the end of this administration on September 30th. The delay is attributed to awaited adjustments by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) on a high-voltage line.
