In light of the forecasted heavy rain, educational authorities have decided to suspend morning classes on Friday, February 14, for schools at all levels in several municipalities of Baja California. This decision affects both public and private institutions in Tijuana, Ensenada, Playas de Rosarito, San Quintín, and Tecate.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda announced the suspension via social media, ensuring the public that this precautionary measure is necessary for the safety and well-being of students and school staff. Despite the suspension in these areas, schools in Mexicali and San Felipe will operate as usual.

José Luis Jiménez, the director of Civil Protection, indicated that the most intense rainfall is expected between midnight Thursday and 3:00 AM Friday, with projected precipitation reaching approximately 1.78 inches. Consequently, the authorities urge residents to stay informed through official channels and follow any recommended safety precautions.
