### Baja California Set to Host Olympic Gala

Baja California is gearing up for a grand Olympic Gala scheduled for Friday, November 29th, at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Tijuana. This event, organized by the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Baja California (INDEBC), will bring together the Olympic community of Baja California, including athletes, judges, and officials.

Laura Marmolejo Toscano, General Director of INDEBC, announced the prestigious event alongside notable Olympic athletes such as Magaly Yáñez, who participated in Athens 2004, Tania Jiménez from the London 2012 Paralympics, Luis Álvarez, a bronze medallist from Tokyo 2020, and Martha Sandoval, who competed in open water swimming in Paris 2024. Supporting them were archery judge César Araujo and Taekwondo official Roberto Beltrán.

Marmolejo highlighted the event’s goals: “To honor the sporting achievements of Baja Californian Olympians, raise funds for the State Sports Fund, and provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate with our state’s champions.”

To date, Baja California has proudly been represented by 40 traditional athletes, one Paralympian, nine coaches, four judges, and two officials in the Olympics.

Tickets for the Olympic Gala are priced at 2,500 pesos, with invitations extended to sports associations, business leaders, athletes, government officials, and the general public. Confirmed attendees include Olympians César Osuna, Aremi Fuentes, Denisse López, among others, with coaches Pavel Oceguera and Luis Sosa, and judges César Araujo and Andrea Gómez also expected to attend.
