**Baja California to Host Five Sports Disciplines in Macro Regional Stage**

In recent developments, Baja California has been selected as the host for five sports disciplines during the macro regional stage leading up to the National CONADE 2025 events. At the first planning meeting held in Chihuahua, key agreements were made regarding the location of various sports competitions. Baja California will host Basketball, Basketball 3×3, Boxing, Handball, and Table Tennis.

The meeting was attended by Laura Marmolejo Toscano, Director General of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Baja California (INDEBC), along with representatives from the regions comprising Macro Region “A” which includes Chihuahua, Sonora, Sinaloa, Durango, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, and San Luis Potosí.

Leading the assembly, Raúl Gilberto Aguilar Coronado, director of national and selective sports events at CONADE, along with Teporaca Romero, director of the Chihuahua Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, emphasized the importance of collaboration. Romero stated, “It was a very productive meeting and a pleasure to engage with our friends from the Macroregion. The northern region is undoubtedly competitive in terms of sports, and we are allies and friends. We organized democratically and equitably to identify the hosting sites.”

The next meeting is slated to take place on February 20 in La Paz, Baja California Sur, where the competition dates will be finalized.
