**Mayor Armando Ayala Takes Leave, Carlos Ibarra Steps In**

In a unanimous decision by the present council members, the request by Mayor Armando Ayala Robles to step down from his role as the head of Ensenada’s XXIV City Council was approved. Starting September 1, Ayala will assume his new position as Senator of the Republic.

Mayor Ayala announced that his authorized leave from office would commence from 11:59 PM on August 27 of this year. Consequently, the substitute mayor, Carlos Ibarra Aguiar, will assume duties starting Wednesday, August 28.

Reflecting on his term, Ayala expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Ensenada. “Today marks not just the end of a chapter in my public life, but also a chance to express my profound thanks for allowing me to play a significant role in the history of our municipality,” he stated.

In his message to the incoming president of Ensenada and the city council, Ayala emphasized the responsibility and opportunities that come with the office. “Every decision you make will directly impact the lives of our citizens. It is vital to act with honesty, compassion, and a clear vision of what is best for Ensenada,” he advised.

Adding a note of continuity, Ayala assured, “I am not saying goodbye, as I will continue to be a committed citizen, ready to support our community in any way necessary. Thank you, Ensenada, for giving me the honor of being your mayor.”
