**Blood Donors Still Needed for Ana Velia Guzmán**
Journalist Ana Velia Guzmán has been hospitalized for five days at IMSS Clinic 20 in Tijuana after experiencing a drop in hemoglobin and platelets following chemotherapy. Despite a blood donation drive initiated on August 2, more donors are still needed to replenish the supplies she has used.
“We’re doing well, but we still need more donors. It seems I might be discharged this week, but it all depends on how I progress,” Guzmán said.
Donors interested in supporting her should visit IMSS Clinic 7 on Bulevar Salinas in Tijuana, fasting from 7 a.m. to noon, and donate blood for the patient in bed 481 at IMSS Clinic 20.
“The culture of blood donation is crucial because giving life while alive is priceless. We should be grateful and replenish the blood we receive to help others,” emphasized Ana Velia.
Guzmán, a professor at UABC and a correspondent for France 24, has also worked with TV Azteca and Televisa Baja California. She expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their care and understanding of the complexities involved in cancer treatments.
