The Mexicali Águilas have wrapped up their participation in the fifth edition of the Baja Series, held at the Arturo C. Nahl Stadium in La Paz, Baja California Sur. As part of their pre-season activities, the team faced off against the Algodoneros de Guasave, Cañeros de Los Mochis, and the Baja Series All-Stars.

In their first game against the Algodoneros, the Águilas were defeated with a score of 11-8. Notable performances came from batters Leo Heras, Alejandro “Samurai” Mejía, Conner Capel, Marco López, and Manuel Orduño. Pitchers for this game included Eduardo Vera, Manuel Chávez, Alonso García, Bryan Muñoz, Gabriel Ponce, Isidro Márquez Jr., Patricio Ress, and Javier Cenizo.

The second game saw the Águilas facing the Cañeros, where they were shut out 7-0. Pitchers for Mexicali included Fernando Lozano, Yamil Castillo, Alonso Becerra, Mario Jiménez, Juan Macías, Emmanuel Núñez, and Fausto Hernández.

Their final game in the series was against the local Baja Series All-Stars, where the Águilas secured a resounding 14-1 victory. The game saw Ángel López starting as pitcher, followed by José Luis Reyes, Pedro Santillán, Manuel Chávez, Isidro Márquez Jr., Sergio García-Repper, and Bryan Muñoz.

Following their return to their home base to continue preparations, the Águilas will travel to Glendale, Arizona to participate in the Mexican Baseball Fiesta.
